What is Midi??

MIDI stands for Musical Instruement Digital Interface, that means it is a standard by which musical instruements, devices & perhaps the computers can communicate with each other.Infact there are different standards but the most popular is General Midi (GM).The other standards are Roland GS,MT32 etc etc...

Ok But What is a MIDI file?

My Friends midi file is a set of intructions or sequence by which the music have to be played, hence it is considerably small in size compared to that of a wave file because it is nothing more than some intructions.

Can I Connect My Computer With my Organ (Keyboard)?

Yes!! & for that you need a midi compatible keyboard,a sound card which has a midi interface (Like Awe64,32,Sblive) & a midi cable (which connects both the sound card & your keyboard)

Where will i get a midi cable?

Ask the dealer from where you bought your Keyboard or you can mail me i will tell you if i can arrange one or not

Why Should I Buy Sblive?

If you are really into composing music's of your own than you must get Sblive it really is the best out there. AWE64 (or AWE32) is very old & no one prefers them these days. Some features of SBlive

1.128 voices polyphony (enough to make it sound like an orchestra)

2.Accepts as much  Ram as your system can provide. Awe64 was very limited on ram choices.

3.Emu 10K Engine makes ordinary midi files AWESOME. It is the heart of environmental audio

4.Compatible With Various Midi Standards like GM, GS & MT32 also backwards compatible with AWE64

My Opinion!!

If you are considering an upgrade of your sound card than just go & buy SBlive. You wont regret your investment.
