**  RESOURCES AND PARTNERS  **
Rob Abovitz is a great resource.  In the past, he has been the President of the “Adult Board.” He works in Res. Life, so if you ever want any flyers hung for programs, he can arrange for RAs to hang them in the halls.  I would also utilize the RAs to plan programs.  The halls this year that had the most Jews were Havighurst and Morris, and I’m told Havighurst has a lot of Jews every year.  The Associated Student Government is where AJS gets a lot of their programming money.  ASG has several funding cycles each year, so you may need to help students write grant proposals, etc. I even wrote some for my programs myself!  To table, it’s a ridiculous process, but doesn’t take up much time.  All tabling requests go through Shriver.  You have to get permission from the Office of Student Activities, which is on the third floor of
Shriver.  You fill
out this form
with the location,
time and dates
of your table.
You’ll mostly
table inside or
outside of
Shriver, or Bell
Tower.  If you
are tabling in
Shriver, you also
need to get
permission from
the information booth on the second floor and then take the form back up to the third floor-its ridiculous (see
tabling link for more details).  Anyway, in the Office of Student Activities, this is also where you get permission for table tents.  I recommend first getting permission, then making the table tents, then you need to get an
approval stamp on them.  You sign up for table tents for one-week increments. Alpha Phi Omega is a service fraternity that will put up table tents for you and even messages on chalkboard to advertise upcoming programs.  Javier is the Argentinian Hebrew teacher, who is really cool. I know that Hillel has worked together with him on programs in the past, and he’s always willing to have us announce programs, etc. in his classes.  I have not yet worked with the Office of Multicultural Student  Enrichment, but I do know that we have a close relationship with them if you want to plan related programs. Depending on your target groups, you can utilize different resources (women’s group, Dance Marathon team, Greek presidents, etc.)
