| ** FIRST YEAR STUDENTS ** This was the first year for the existence of FYSH and as a result it was moderately successful. The purpose of FYSH was to have a small board of freshmen would help plan programs for other freshmen and try to actively encourage other Jewish freshmen to take part in FYSH and Hillel programs. The eight-person board was advised by two advisors (who sat on the AJS Board) and myself, the JCSC fellow. |

| This year, since everyone was supposed to pitch in a little for each program, it was easy for any one FYSH Board member to do more or less work. Having positions might make the board more effective. Also, I think that having a general FYSH group (in addition to a FYSH Board) meet maybe once or twice a month would be great. There might be people who want to help plan programs, but don't want to take on a leadership role. |
