**  HAMILTON  **
Hamilton is a nearby “city.”  I used the quotes because it's not that big, but it’s a close place to go if you want to get out of Oxford for the night, since it's only about 20 minutes away.  If you take Route 27 South and make a left at the OH-130 light, and go straight (you’ll see a drive-in movie theatre on your left!).  Keep going straight and that will take you into the Washington Blvd area of Hamilton.  When you get to a light, make a right, and you’ll see places to eat and shop, such as Meijer’s, Wal-mart, Hobby Lobby (a good place to go for craft supplies for programs!), and two movie theatres.  FYI: there is also a AAA office there too!

Beth Israel Synagogue:

There is also a synagogue,
Beth Israel Synagogue, located in Hamilton.  It’s the closest one to campus and it is a small, conservative temple.  The rabbi there is very nice, and whenever I wanted to come for a high holiday service, or a Shabbat when Hillel was not sponsoring one, they would welcome me with open and excited arms! It’s also a place where you might consider co-sponsoring a program and keep in mind that some students might even work there!

My recommendation:
I went to a great sculpture park one time with friends called
Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park.  It’s a nice place for an afternoon date, a Hillel program, or an artsy afternoon getaway.  Check it out and give them business-the most darling people work there! I recommend just driving around  in Hamilton to find what you like; that’s always fun.  Other than that, if you are interested in anything else, I would check out the City of Hamilton’s website and surf around.
