Wavering The Rules
We first realized that this teacher was not like the rest when she didn't impose the rules as much as the rest of the teachers. If our class did not have that much work to for that day, she would let us play soccor or football outside, instead of work, much to the disagreement of the other teachers. She was also very friendly to all of the students, even if they weren't in her class, but she did not try to learn a lot about their strengths in school, which the other teachers did, obviously trying to figure out which ones of us had pure hearts. Though we thought that we were imagining it all, many of the other students agreed that she was different from the other teachers as well, and we were more right than we could have anticipated.
Suspicions Arise
Every month, Tomoe wanted each teacher to pick two students that had done well overall for the month. We found this quite suspicious, since it was a very easy way to round up many suspects for pure heart capturing. It was even more suspicious when the teachers started paying more attention to the students who had been picked for the month, in a bad way. The "renegade" teacher didn't like giving such information about her students to Tomoe, but was forced to. Even then, she didn't give the names of any students that weren't already daimons and gave the least amount of names as she could. Were we right about this teacher? Was she really good? Or was she trying to get on the side of any suspecting students? We couldn't be too sure...
Leaving Behind The Shadows
Before we could make any jugdements on the teacher, she made a very abrupt announcement. She was leaving our school and moving far away. This wouldn't have been such a suspicious announcement if it hadn't been so abrupt. The day she told everyone was two days before her departure! Even more surprisingly, Tomoe didn't seem too annoyed at all, or even slightly surprised. Tomoe tried hard to look sad, but we definitely saw right through it, because he was rather happy. Had Tomoe blackmailed the teacher to leave and move away quickly? Was this a setup because Tomoe knew that we were suspicious? Tomoe definitely seemed happy at the fact that he would be able to pick the new replacement.
The Supply Teacher
Though we were to get a new teacher soon enough, we were given a supply teacher for a few weeks. He was very mean, gave so much work, so we would always be occupied, and made us stick to every rule exactly. He frequently changed the schedule without telling us. Once, he was going to take away our Drama period, everyone's favorite subject, and when some of the students objected, he seemed shocked and angered by their free-will and protest. If our supply teacher was this bad, how bad would the permanent teacher that Tomoe picks be?
Long Lasting
The supply continued giving us tons of work that was much too juvenile for any of us, and forced us to stick to pathetic rules. We all hoped that this supply teacher would leave soon, but to our dismay, he stayed much longer than we had expected, for about three weeks. Finally, when we found a permanent teacher, the supply teacher still stayed for a little while. He wouldn't leave our class alone! When Tomoe introduced the permanent teacher to us, he would constantly eye the new teacher and would say "We hope to keep this teacher with us for the rest of the year!", as if it was a possibility that loyalty may be a problem. Tomoe had talked to the supply frequently about us, and started to talk to our permanent teacher a lot too. Was she poisoning their minds against us, or was it already too late? We would just had to find out if there was more too the permanent teacher than meets the eye.
Second Time Around
Much to our dismay, the permanent teacher was no better than the supply teacher. Not only that, but he had set up a little "treat" for our class, that the hardest working students would recieve extra marks on their work and get a free lunch out at a restaurant if they gathered at least 100 points. The problem was, he only wanted a small group of us to go at a time, and no other teachers or adults were allowed along. What was he planning to do? Fortunately, before the new teacher could carry out with his plans, he told us all that he was leaving our class, and another replacement was coming in. What was Tomoe up to?
Another Ploy?
So, our next replacement permanent teacher finally arrived, and Tressa and Anita were prepared for anything. To our utter amazement, this teacher is actually quite nice, and almost the exact opposite of the type of teacher we had expected. He doesn't give much homework, and all the work we do in class is actually fun! Anita and Tressa couldn't believe their luck. Sadly, they realized that they were leaving their guards down. What if Tomoe had ordered the new teacher to act nice so that any suspicions would be abolished from our minds? If that was the plan, it was working.
