GED Information

There is some confusion about what a GED is and how to obtain one.
If you have any questions, this website ACENET.EDU is the Official GED site nationwide and will give you accurate information.
They have information about testing centers (no GED test is currently given online), GED Fact Sheets, and information about online sites offering 'fake' GEDs.

A Side Note About an Offer to Advertise

I recently received an offer of $50 a month to allow a website to advertise on my multiplication facts page, www.oocities.org/multiplicationfacts.
When I checked it out, they offered an online "assessment" that determines if you have enough knowledge to get a diploma. The catch was, after the test they show you the correct answers (in red) and allow you to "try again". Of course you get a 100% the second time and then fill out some background forms so they can award you credit for life experiences. The last step you pay about $200 and they mail you a "high school diploma". The trouble is, what employer or school would accept that as a legitimate credential? To their credit they did not claim it was a GED and offered a short blurb about the GED test only being given at Testing Centers.
