Played through gungrave and was not very impressed.  The game is short and simple it can easily be finished in a little over 3 hours.  Finally I finished Rockman EXE2  just in time for capcom to announce EX3!  the game is excellent if you have a GBA and like RPGs and like rockman buy it!  It would have been an excellent arcade game with some small tuning.  Lets hope that Trigun will be better.  I did not get the import sunshine, but I did played a bit through the first 2 worlds and collected about 6 shine gets!  So far I love it, but I will hold off to get my shine on in the US version!  I started to play through eternal darkness tonight and was very impressed.  The gameplay is simplistic and simple at its core, but the sanity meter sure adds a very interesting and unique touch to the game.   So far the best part is the approach silicon knights took on  story telling.  So far I give eternal darkness a thumbs up!  so check it! 

On other news RoboB has turned me on to the best PC peripheral ever!  The SOYO Kiky Joy!  Play anything using PS2 controller on your PC!  Rumble analog and all!  The controller works on practically every emulator even MAME and Magic engine.  If you live near a Fry's electronics' the thing is only 9.99 totally worth it!

Yes, Yes it's summer time again and what a perfect time to stay inside and play video games!  I mean what else is there to do?  The import of Mario Sunshine is out and the Gun grave import is out for the PS2.  The jive should get there hands on copies of both in the next couple days. 

In the next two months some great US releases will be out.  Yes finally some GC stuff!!!! 

Good luck Turok and Vexx teams!  Hang in there and get some sleep.  I am sure both games will be great.

HOLD TIGHT EVERYONE!  Albert was in the hospital!  don't worry he is fine.  He just ate a corn cob from the garbage; he had to have a couple x-ray's, but he is 100% fine.  I put up a scan of his x-ray take a look.

On other JIVE news Teddy boy himself has stopped by the JIVE office to personally give us his preview of Eternal darkness for the Nintendo Game cube.  Check it out over on the console page.  Teddy was recently kidnapped by a large transbot convey ship and brought to F-16 fighting falcon's lair, but now he is back with the JIVE!

8th man Shock box cover up for downloading!

DVD news.  If you are looking for a cheap multi regional DVD player check out the APEX-1200.  The player is only 64.99 and with this small 4 digit input it will play all region DVDs even PAL.
 

Here is what you need to do. 

Buy an Apex AD-1200 with serial starting with Cxxx...  (I think almost every player starts with these serials) 

Open the tray, wait 30 seconds enter code 8 4 2 1 using the number pad

Small lines will appear on the screen.

Two parameters will appear: Region and Macrovision.

Region: Press "Enter" until the "9" is reached on the region selections.

Macrovision:  Toggle the on (default selection) to off.

That is it you're done.
 

The player itself it rather cheap and is not very sturdy, but hey it's 64.99 and it will play everything.

Today welcomes an excellent preview of Capcoms Mech title Tekki on the X-box page thanks for the update Opa!  I may even have dust off my Crap box to play it  : )

Today also marks the grand tally of Hits on the site!  we have now broken!  30752 hits!  yeeeee haaaa  I never thought the jive would do so well, but with the gaming guru staff here at the jive........................   

Released today  Megaman battle network for the GBA.  If you enjoyed the first game or capcom Vs. SNK card battle on the geo pocket buy this game.  I will be putting up a review once I have completed the game. 

GET READY TO YETI!!!!  The GBA release of Urban Yeti Release is just around the corner July the 15th!

HOLY SMOKES!!!  Working like crazy to get an E3 demo out the door can truly be exhausting...................  Just when you think you are about to collapse from NO sleep.  Things start pulling together.  I must thank my team for all the hard work we all put into this last playable. 

Special thanks goes out to ROBO-B (CAMERA-BOT) for some excellent work into the wee hours of the night.  I will tell you that bot can sure make some good cams! 

PS2 NOW 199.00!!!!  GO BUY ONE ASAP if you are one of the 3 people that have not already bought one. 

Looks like the crap box also dropped price to 199.00 ummmmmm how about 3 pennies, one old hot dog and an old crusty 8-bit Alpha mission cart...Now that is what that thing is worth, well at least until some good software comes out for it and not ports.

If you’re not heading to E3 this year sit back and relax with the new Transformers DVD box set.  If I am not playing a game this thing is permanently in my DVD player : ) it absolutely rocks!  The first box set includes some A+ extras....including all the bumpers from US and Japanese episodes. 

 E3!!!!  Yes!  I will update the page with tons of pictures for the show as soon as I return.   So check back this weekend.

US Resident Evil GC out today!  Go buy it if you did not already.  If I was not so tired from E3 Over Time madness I would be revisiting the old RE mansion myself.  I will have to wait till after the show : )   

Check out the Console Neo-Geo page for the Playmore/Snk KOF2K DC add taken from the new famitsu.  I always like the thick line cell shaded look, like in Marvel Vs. Street fighter.  This art reminds me a little of that style.

First off congratulations are in order!  ROBO-B finally finsihed building his Dance, Dance revulotion stages!  This robot must sure has some circutry loose to go through all this trouble just for some dance, dance action.  Robo created an adapter for the arcade stages to connect and play on the PS??  Kewl deal!  and good job Robo-B check back later for pictures of his mad creation soon. 

I have changed the layout of the Console page and will be adding more content in all the new pages often.  Now each console has there own page :) ah yes the Pc-engine.

I just had to share this with everyone.  Last year at E3 Teddy Boy gave me a pack of KLAX promotional smokes (they are really caster milds or mild sevens I think)?  These things really are the strangest video game promotion thing I have every seen.  Take a look at them in all there glory laying on the cover of the new famitsu.  Look close at the text on the smokes.  There is Time for KLAX!!!!

Finally finished Gun valkyrie (with both characters).  Being able to select any stage after the initial completion of the game was kewl.  Overall the game  was fun and short, but needed some work to be a top A+ title.  Still a good mindless shooter  if you can bare the 1 to 2 hours learning curve for the controls.  Check it out

Personally I am a little surprised that KOF2k is coming to the DC, but again who cares as long as it is coming out on any console.  Lets pray for a PS2 version of KOF2K1 ; )

In addition, Playmore has announced KOF2000 to be released for the Sega DreamCast. The game will be a perfect arcade port with DC originals: Alternate Strikers will have unique backgrounds during 2 Player mode, featuring stages which cannot be experienced at the arcades.

As previously noted in February, "Garou - Mark of the Wolves" and "Last Blade 2 -Final Edition" are scheduled for re--release on the DC as well, priced 2800Yen on 5/23. The release date and price for Dreamcast's KOF2000 is unreleased as of now.

Playmore's site also offers some information of Evoga's upcoming "Rage Of The Dragons", and downloadable wallpapers of KOF2000 and KOF2001 in commemoration of the site's opening.
