Twilik Campaign: Turn 37 & Turn 38
Turn 37:
Production 11840.65 MC, Trade 107.76 MC, Population 5482
The 1st Hydra C class CA, the Hydra, is completed this month at Skywatch
Twilikar. The Ettin 02 is built this month as well. The Ettin, which was
completed late last month, is being ordered to join the Val Alorn WP1
Defense force. Basilisk 04 & 05, Gargoyle 11 & 12, and Imp 20 thru 26 are
also ordered to Val Alorn. The lack of establishing a treaty with the Clans
has the current military leaders nervous. Another thing that is making them
slightly nervous is the fact that the Tilweh Defense sqaud is not in
Tilweh, but instead in Val Alorn. To solve this problem, the Val Alorn
Defense Sqaud is formed at the WP leading to Clan space. All ships that
were not originally part of the Tilweh Defense Squad are transfered to this
fleet. Brian Wilcolm of the Beholder is Knighted and given command of the
fleet. Current fleet strength at the end of the month is 1 Ettin, 2
Beholder, 2 Basilisk, 5 Gargoyle Mod 1, & 20 Imp Mod 1 in addition to the
15 base stations & 216 DSB-L of Val Alorn WP1 Defense.
Tilweh Defense is ordered back to the orbit of Twilikar. As most of the
ships are obsolete designs, they will be refitted as space & prudence
warrents. Beholder 04 will be waiting for the fleet to arrive, at which
time it will join the fleet.
116 DSB-L are built & deployed by Constructor Fleet 1.
The following report arrives from Survey Fleet 2: We completed the mineral
survey of the 2 terrestrial worlds in Crydee. Both are harsh. Their mineral
contents are at both ends of the extrem with one having Very Poor mineral
prospects and the other having Very Rich prospects. We are begining the
initial WP survey of the system & expect to have it completed by mid Month
38. Detail will be completed by mid Month 40.
The following report arrives from Survey Fleet 3: We found no additional
WPs in SN 337. We are following the contingency plan you laid out for us in
the orders we recieved last month. We expect to complete the moon survey of
Zhentil Keep early this month, we shall then proceed to Vagria as ordered.
We expect to be half way thru the moon survey by the end of the month, with
it being completed early next month. We should also have the asteroid
survey completed by the end of next month and moved on to Rohan.
53 colonization units are sent to Zhentil Keep III from New Twilikar. 3 IU
are purchased on the Lizal homeworld.
Our diplomats take a break for the month.
Turn 38:
Production 11416.2 MC, Trade 108.76 MC, Population 5596
After completing the detailed survey of Rillanon, a total of 3 unexplored
WPs are reported by First Knight Stacy Speck of Survey Squad 1. The probe
of the 1st WP reveals a White star with a single uninhabited T-Type world.
They system is named Kreigsprie. The probe of the 2nd WP finds an Orange
star with a single inhabited T-Type world. The inhabitants are at an
Industrial stage of developement. The system is named Helms Deep. The
remaining probe reveals a White star system with no terrestrial planets or
current habitation. The system is named Pavis. All 3 new systems have a
single asteroid belt. Speck decides to survey Kreigsprie 1st, concentrating
on completing the survey of the lone habitable world 1st. Diplomat 13 & 14
is detached and send to initiate 1st contact in Helms Deep. It is given the
designation SS1, TF2. Diplomat 12 leaves a DSB at each end of the WP
between Rillanon & Kreigsprie. The report on the Habitable survey of
Kreigsprie arrives early next month & indicates the planet is Harsh with
average mineral prospects.
The Hydra, our prototype CA, is assigned to the Tilweh Defense Squad &
First Baron Larry Gray transfers his flag to it as it is our first ship
with dedicated C&C facilities. This should greatly increase his
capabilities to effectively coordinate the fire of the ships under his
command. The Ettin 02 is ordered to join Val Alorn Defense squad.
Another Hydra C class CA, the Hydra 02, is started at Skywatch Twilikar.
This one is planned to join Val Alorn Defense & be Fifth Knight Wilcom's
flag. A Ettin class, the Ettin 03, is built this month. The 1st Hydra class
CA, the Hydra 03, is started as well.
Constructor Fleet 2 reports the completion of WP Picket 20 this month and
began construction on WP Picket 21.
Survey Squad 2 reports completing the rough survey of Crydee and finding no
additional WPs. Continuing with the detailed survey.
Survey Squad 3 completes the Moon & asteroid surveys in Vagria, and report
their findings.
37 Colonists are moved to Zhentil Keep III from New Twilikar. This is the
last population transfer to this planet. 16 colonists are sent to Rohan I
from New Twilikar. 65 IU are purchased in the homesystem.
Our diplomats report that the Lizal Union has completed its research on
High Tech 1. They enact a Benevolent Dictatorship form of government when
this happens. Once they develope engines & build ships, they can begin
colonizing their system.
SS1, TF2 initiates 1st contact with the race in Helms Deep. They report
Initial communications have been established. They call themselves the
Eldar Kabal.
