Non-Player Characters in the World
The world of Caern has not been explored
for long and much has still not been charted or mapped. But in the early
years there were those who took the exploration of the land seriously. They
spent their lives among the hills and streams, mountains and forests, and as
such have gained experience and knowledge of the world. Here on this page are
listed some of the more famous names and a bit about each.
Some you may meet in your time afield and
some you may meet and wish you did not. The wisdom gained by some is not that
which should be shared by the world.
Also included here are some tribes and
clans of non-humans which have made themselves prominent throughout the world,
some for the right reasons and others for the wrong; but famous or infamous,
they have still earned their name here.

Non-Player Characters
Thorin Dell - Grand Druid
The legends of Thorin Dell, once Forestal of the Djaneer
Forest are myriad. He has been around almost 250 years wandering the forested
regions of the continent.
Alath' Akbar - Great Mage
The name Alath'Akbar is one which has been debated since the
early days of the kingdom. The man, if such he be, as stories relate was a human
chosen by powers to accomplish certain tasks during his lifetime. For a normal
man, said lifetime should have expired centuries ago but the name keeps occurring
throughout history.
Suffice it to say that no mere mortal could have survived so long,
then the name Alath'Akbar which is said to mean Shaper of the Winds must,
therefore be a title, possibly of the highest ranking mage of the guild, and
passed down through the years to that officeholder.
But whether a single man or a group of men holding the office,
Alkabar (as the name is normally shortened), always bear the same characteristics:
the average height being about 5'5" and weighing approximately 110-120 pounds.
He/they appear to be of advanced age (around 65-75 years) but are surprisingly
spry and active. Their hair is normally long (shoulder length) but bald on top
in what appears to be a tonsure cut, though longer. And a flowing moustache.
Although according to most recent accounts, the old
office holder appears to have been destroyed in a confrontation with a minion
of dark powers, the newest office holder seems to be making his presence known
once more throughout the world. Sightings of this Alkabar person have arisen,
and is once more supposedly dipping his hands into the affairs of the populace.
Sir Gregor
Sir Gregor, a knight of puissant skills, was born of the Baronet
Denys de Easton-Neston in the Barony of Galisstead, in the Auromic Kingdom in the year
1152 C.Y.
Taught early on the military skills for leadership, Gregor was
appointed to the Royal Duchy's Border Patrol. In less than 5 years he became one
of the best-known men in the unit. He quickly rose through the ranks and carried
the title Captain. But with his many victories he was soon called back to court
life. Another parade ground attraction for the nobles! All that came of this
was knighthood and his appointment to the Royal Order of the Knights of Caprilla.
Now, when not harried by the court life, he spends time traveling
and checking on the local villages and towns. Giving appearance with a small troop
of cavalry and keeping the locals happy and safe-feeling.
