The most famous Samba Schools with a lot of fans in Brazil and all over the world.

THE SAMBA SCHOOL

In spite of the name, they are not really schools, but if an enormous group of musicians, designers of costumes, dancers and carnival makers (carnavalescos) that invest up to 11 months of the year preparing the show which they are going to show its schools during the next championship of schools of samba.

They choose a subject in which they are going to work in April, they begin to develop the ideas of the parade in May, begin to choose music in August and begin to prepare canival costumes in September. They work until the end of January and present/display their parades in sambódromo during the week ends of Carnival (generally February)
