One Of A Kind?
Sam Telleson (founder of the San Diego Mustang Club) estimates that only 27, factory GT fastbacks with a K-code "HiPo'' V8 and "BigC" C4 automatic transmission were built in 1966. Jerry Heasly (writer for Petersen Publishing) states that they are rare. How rare are they??? It is well known that none were built in 1965 and Ford records indicate that only 173 were built in 1967. Unfortunately, the 1966 records were destroyed by FORD in the early 1980's and no one knows the exact number of 1966's produced.

Does anyone have more information? If you do, please email me.
