This is my darling rescue poodle Harry. He has been with me for just over a year, even though he is about 18 years old. We acquired him through a friend of ours that runs the Poodle Rescue Centre Inc here in Perth, Western Australia. She had to go to Melbourne for a few days and left a couple of her rescues with us. Harry was one of them, and since he is so old we decided to keep him. He was found wandering the streets of a nearby suburb, looking rather thin and sick. Since then, we have only been able to put about 1kg on him, so he still looks rather thin. He is almost blind and deaf, has two teeth (the others were rotting so we had them removed), and is basically your typical grumpy old man hehehe.

I don't know of many people that actually take old dogs and give them a new safe home. Both Harry and I hope you enjoy his site. We set it up together to let people know that even though some rescues can be older than you were looking for, they still give you all the love and attention you were asking for in a friend.

Just recently, August 14 at 5pm, Harry passed away. The vets have estimated him to be well over 20 years of age. We had Harry for 2.5 years, years filled with fun and laughter. We enjoyed his company, and he will be terribly missed. Please feel free to visit his memorial pages listed below.
