[Ancient Tower, Abandoned Workshop]
Before continuing its up and downward spirals, the staircase breaks open onto a stone platform which may have served at one time as a magical workshop. Blackened walls, floor, and ceiling speak eloquently of a powerful magic gone awry and backfiring on its caster. The room is empty but for a single rosewood case, which stands as if left untouched by magic and time. You also see some steps leading up and some stairs leading down.
