Hey Dillon! Whats up??
Hey, not much!
We heard that you have played
with other local bands,
are you still with them? Or are you just with this one
band?
Yes, I'm still in my own band. Our CD
is due out soon.
I sing and play guitar for it.
Have you guys thought up of
a name for this band yet?
If not do you have any ideas for it?
Jesse's band? I don't think we're gonna have a name;
there's no point. We're just Jesse's backup band,
we're there to support Jesse's amazing sound. Not to
demean what me and the other musicians are doing; I
kind of like not being at the forefront.
How did it feel to be up on
stage playing while girls
are constantly screaming your name?
Well, because we're so busy with school, the band's
only gotten one gig in. And at that gig I mostly
noticed girls screaming Jesse's name. But I guess if
they were screaming my name that'd be pretty cool.
Have you always been interested
in music?
I've been interested in music forever. I've loved
music since I knew what it was.
Who's your biggest influence
in your musical career?
My dad, who's an amazing piano player, taught me most
of what I know about music. Of course, I had to learn
how to actually physically play the guitar from other
people (and I taught myself for awhile, I guess), but
in terms of my musical knowledge, it mostly comes from
my dad. I hope to be as successful at playing and
writing music as he's been.
What are some of your favorite
bands?
My favorite bands? Well, I go through phases. When I
was little all I listened to were the Beatles. Then I
had my Rolling Stones phase, then Led Zeppelin, and
then a few years where all I listened to was Jazz,
like Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter.
But these days I'm a mellow rock guy, and that's what
my original music sounds like; stuff like Coldplay,
U2, and Radiohead.
Do you have a girlfriend? What
do you look for in a
girl?
No girlfriend, too busy. But I look for a girl who
makes me laugh, mostly.
How long have you been playing
guitar?
I've been playing guitar for 7 years.
Well we want to thank you for
doing this interview! We
wish you the best of luck and we hope to talk to you
sometime soon!
Thanks for interviewing me! It's always fun to ramble
about myself and have people listen. Best of luck to
you too. Have a good one.
