Amika was fourtunate to get an interview with the girls of All*Stars! They are a dance group made up of 6 talented teenage girls stright from Queens, New York. They have danced for the hott pop star Jesse McCartney. It was too bad that myself and Lauren could not be at the interview but we wish the girls the best of luck in the future!

So, would you all mind introducing yourself to those who do not know you?
Adrianne: hi! I'm Adrianne!
Gina: Hi my name is Gina
Nikki: Hi my name is Nikki
Alexa: Hi I'm Alexa
Alyssa: Hi!! I'm Alyssa and I'm on the phone with Connie

Hey! So how old are you all?
Adrianne: I'm 15
Alyssa: I'm 14, Connie is 15
Alexa: I'm 13
Nikki: I'm 14
Gina: I'm 14

So you're all pretty young. When did you get together to start the All Stars?
Gina: Well we have been dancing together for awhile
Alyssa: Well we've all been going to the same dance school
Alyssa: & we've been on the same team for about 7 years

Wow... so when did you start dancing?
Gina: I started dancing when I was 2 years old
Nikki: I started dancing when I was about 2 years old
Adrianne: I began dancing school at age 2 1/2
Alyssa: I started when I was 3, Connie started when she was 3 also
Alexa: I started around 2

So you've been doing this for the most portion of your life. Do you plan on making your dancing a career?
Alyssa: yes, definitely
Adrianne: Yep
Nikki: yes

Do you think you'll still be doing your dancing together?
Gina: Yes
Alexa: yes
Gina: I love these girls
Alyssa: Connie says yeah
Nikki: Yes I think that we are going to stick together
Adrianne: Yep
Alexa: I think so too
Adrianne: I don't think we'll ever split!
Alyssa: I mean, I want to do dance as a career but these girls are like my sisters and I love going on stage and feeling their energy its awesome
Gina: I second that!
Adrianne: third!
Nikki: I agree I love these girls to death
Alexa: me too!
That seriously is awesome, its great that you've all got talents like that and want to share it with each other

Are you girls interested in other things?
Adrianne: I'm interested in a career on Broadway. It seems so exciting having to perform every night!
Me too! Broadway is great
Adrianne: It sure is!
Alyssa: Of course, I love to just sit at home & listen to music, hang out with friends
Gina: I love to hang out with friends and listen to music
Alexa: I like to hang out with friends also
Alyssa: Connie said hang out w/friends & have fun
Adrianne: I like to hang out, go on the computer, and definitely sleep!
Nikki: I love to hang out with my friends
Alyssa: Connie LOVES to sleep!!!
Alexa: I like to watch TV
haha...

O wait, before I forget. Where are you all from?
Alyssa: We're all from Queens, NY
New York is the place to be! Haha

So how often do you practice dance?
Gina: almost everyday
Adrianne: We dance together for at least 6 hours a week
Nikki: practically everyday
Alexa: almost everyday
Adrianne: But most of the time, everyday
Alyssa: Everyone except for Alexa has dance every day in school for 3 periods, but at our dance school we go 3 times a week for about 7/8 hours
Nikki: Alexa isn't in High School yet
Alyssa: Yea, she's the baby

Alexa: don't worry ill catch up. I promise!!

So how do you have time to do anything else? I'd be exhausted
Adrianne: We're pretty adjusted to our schedules
Nikki: It is very tiring but you get used to it after a while
Gina: it is very exhausting but you learn to get used to it
Alexa: it is tiring
Gina: I mean this is what we love to do

So have you done a lot of shows?
Alyssa: We just performed at a charity event in Douglaston, we do that every year
Gina: yes we all have done a lot of shows
Alyssa: We do a lot of competitions too
Alexa: and our recitals

What was your most exciting show
Nikki: The Jesse McCartney Concert
Adrianne: I think the Jesse McCartney Show!
Alexa: Jesse McCartney
Gina: haha
Gina: yes
Alyssa: DEFINITELY Jesse McCartney

Jesse's awesome
Gina: I think we all agree on that
Adrianne: It was just a dream come true!
Adrianne: Well, mine for a fact!
Alyssa: Well its like, we've never done a CONCERT before and it was just amazing going out on that stage with my best friends and looking out into the audience
Alyssa: I knew that was what I wanted to do - be on stage with my best friends
Nikki: Being on the stage with my best friends was amazing
you see me back there? I was backstage TOTALLY being ignored by you guys
Gina: awwwww.... were sorry
Adrianne: haha, personally, I was really shy to talk to everybody!

Aw, you guys are great! You've really got more than just some dance team you've got this big friendship bond thing... that's awesome
Nikki: thank you so much

what did you all think of him (Jesse) and his music while we're on the subject
Alexa:: I think Jesse is really cute and he's a great singer
Alyssa:: I think that he puts on an awesome performance, I've been a big fan of his for years
Nikki:: I think that Jesse was great. He is very entertaining
Gina: I think he is great and his music has come a long way
Alyssa:: We were all Dream Street lovers back in the day
Nikki:: His music just gets better and better
Adrianne: he's really improving as the years go by! and he's super cute!

Alyssa:: He's very cute, and nice too
Alyssa:: Haha, yeah we had our obsession
Adrianne: yep
Alexa:: yes I think that he was very nice and entertaining
oh my god, me too... I'm still obsessed! I'm such a teenie

If you guys could ever open for anyone or be a background dancer for WHOEVER... who would it be?
Alyssa:: Okay, normally I would NEVER say this but probably Britney Spears because I've watched her on TV and her backup dancers are amazing
Gina: well we might have different opinions on that one
Alyssa:: Wade Robson is awesome too
Adrianne: Hard question...I would say Britney Spears because she dances so well!
Adrianne: well, the dancers do
Gina: I would say Madonna
Nikki:: Madonna is a great dancer
Adrianne: or Janet Jackson...
Alyssa:: Janet Jackson is amazing
Nikki:: yeah Janet Jackson is amazing too
Alexa:: Ricky Martin or Justin Timberlake
Alyssa:: Connie agrees with the Wade Robson/Britney Spears thing
Alexa:: me too!. I agree with all of you

Since you're saying a bunch of celebrities names, has any of them inspired you to dance?
Gina: yes ... definitely all of these people
Nikki:: I agree
Adrianne: Not really...My parents really did. They tap dance so I kind of have it in my blood. and My dance teachers are a big inspiration in my life
Alyssa:: Well they all have different styles of dancing, its more pop and hip hop stuff, not so much ballet and real classical dancing - but I'm not saying I'm into that either
Alyssa:: But I think it was just that I was always a performer when I was little I loved to be the center of attention

oh my god! I forgot! What kind of dance do you do?
haha such an important question!
Alyssa:: we do everything
Gina: EVERYTHING!
Gina: hehe
Alexa:: everything- ballet tap jazz lyrical
Alyssa:: tap, jazz, ballet, acro
Alexa:: acro
Adrianne: Every single thing!
Alyssa:: Yeah, you name it we've done it
Nikki:: every dance style
Alexa:: modern

that's good, it keeps you open to things
Adrianne: yep
Gina: the most important type of dancing is ballet because that is the core of every dance style
Alyssa:: yea, its great to take different classes
Alyssa:: Yeah
Nikki:: yea
Alyssa:: Ballet is like your vegetables, you don't like it but you NEED it
Alexa:: yea!
Gina: yes definitely
Adrianne: yep
Nikki:: haha...yup
Alexa:: that's funny
Alyssa:: Connie is the gymnast of the group
Adrianne: yep
haha vegetables... good way to describe it
Alyssa:: oo yeah

did you all take gymnastics?
Alyssa:: We all take acro, but Connie competed on a Gymnastics team for years
me too high five Connie! haha
Alyssa:: haha
