A Wolf of a Thousand Names...

When I think of you, my mind wanders
Into sunlit pine-forests,
Across cool shores of turbulent water
To warm, bright fires,
To rocky lakesides silvered by the moon,
Then back to lie your gentle arms again.
I dream I feel your hands caress my skin.
I feel your gaze upon me; gentle, warm love,
Mixed with amazement.

I found you once and discover you
A thousand times again;
In my darkest moments
You brought sunshine to my< day;
When I thought I had no one, you were there;
(Though often caught in your own struggle
With this intolerable world),
You were there for me.
We need to be loved by someone
We need to have a friend,
I have that friend in you,
We are there for each other
In a friendship that goes far beyond
Merely being together.

I realize each time I look on you
In my mind's eye
It is unique and yet still
So like the wonderful first time.
So I hope I leave you
With just a small piece
Of how I see you;
Every minute, Every day,
Forever new; forever my beautifulWolf.
