CThe Arcadia |
The Arcadia sports centre down Yew Tree Avenue started life as a skating rink,and as you can see from the billboard on the left it once played Fred Karnos team from the Kings Theatre in Longsight,with no other than Charlie Chaplin as a member of Karnos team! It then became a Cinema in the 50s then converted to a warehouse. Today as the picture below shows it is a sports centre,in need of some repair. Click here to add your text. |
