Two views of Byrom Parade-the top picture was taken in 1913 and shows a policeman awaiting a convoy of cars carrying King George V. Most of the shops along the parade were closed on this day,but the one at the end(Chadwicks) remains open for business. The bottom picture was taken in March 2001 ,and apart from new window designs fitted on all the propertys on the first floor, not a lot has changed ,except the shops have changed hands may times over throughout the years. text. |
