CDuring the 70s when i was growing up,we did not have computers to occupy our time with-football cards were all the rage,and chopper bikes were the "in" thing. "Ace" was the in word,and playing football on the street corner was totally acceptable-well to us "kids" it was. Of course nowadays its totally different.Children are quite happy playing computer games in each others houses.There are too many cars on the backstreets to play football anymore. Twenty years ago you could have a game of football on a side street,without the worry of cars going "90" miles an hour down the road!. I had an interest in photography,and this group of photos shows us all playing football on Portville Road in 1978.
