Character setup (or "rigging") is preparing models and related objects for animation. | |
A model consists of one or more geometry objects (for
example, NURBS or polygonal surfaces). Preparing the model for animation
includes using deformers, skeletons, skinning, constraints, or characters
features in the a particular software.
Character setup can also involve the use of expressions (instructions to control attributes over time) and dynamics.
