October 5, 2001 and the progress begins to show..........
October in the PNW is still full of warm days, and was a perfect time to work outside on Junior's floor.  The first thing I was faced with was to move him to a different part of the yard,  raise him up and get the blocks underneath to make room for working , and then remove the drive line so I could access all of the floor area.  I started in the trunk, replacing some of the most damaged areas with new metal, and sanding, scraping and cleaning where metal replacement wasn't necessary. A paint/rust inhibitor was applied to all cleaned and repaired areas .  As the daylight hours began to grow short in late October, I knew that soon I'd be faced with the wind, rain and cold of winter......and once again moving Junior.  This time the move would be into the garage if I was going to continue the restoration work during the winter.   So here are the photo's of the work done by October 5, 2001.....and the last "outside" photos until spring!
