The Story of the Myopy

Myopy are a mythic type of Fae Unicorn, rare and prized for their fairly small size and sparkling array of colours. In fact, in the past one could get a pretty penny for a Myopy pelt, if it had the horn. They were quite on the verge of becoming extinct when Rid'Le Tir stepped up and took posession of the last few myopy. They are a protected species now and hunting them for their pelts will result in severe penalty.

The Myopy are usually quite shy and timid but easily tamed IF, and only IF you obtain one before it's birth. A full grown Myopy is breedable but quite a bit less tame, though, with care they can learn to be trusting. Myopy, when mated into a pair do not mate for life. Their mating merely creates a flower, sprung up from the ground, an orb of coloured glass in it's center.

This Orb is quickly plucked from the ground and taken to a nursery garden. Once inside, it is left to be selected by a proper adopter. It hatches within the week, a tiny winged horse. Myopy all look the same at this point, besides a hint of what colours they may be.

Soon.. the Myopy will create for itself a crysalis. There it will sit, and grow for as long as it needs, shedding it's wings within the confines of it's shelter and beginning to grow the means to escape from the crysalis. A small, curved horn.

Once fully grown, the Myopy emerges from it's old home, fully coloured and ready to begin it's new life.
