Hospital....'Hausick'

The next day we visit the hospital to see where the malaria tests are carried out – this is the biggest hospital in the area (Bwagoia has a bigger one, financed by the gold mine) but the pathology lab is basically a bare room with a microscope in the corner and some photocopied pages showing what malaria parasites look like (hey, I could do this...). Once again there’s no x-ray, no ultrasound, only gas powered fridges and a generator for electricity. I’m constantly amazed at how these people survive without even the basic supplies and services we take for granted.
