The next morning we decide to walk up to one of the gardens to get a photo of the boat in the bay - it's such a dramatic setting, it's bound to look great on the web-page. We meet the local preacher at the start of the path, he looks surprised when we tell him we're going up to the gardens and insists on sending some children with us to show us the way, he obviously doesn't think we're up to the task....However, the walk is far steeper than we bargained for - the hillside is practically vertical and the path is narrow and overgrown and rocky, and of course it’s very very hot. The crowd of children who joined us run on ahead, jump out from behind bushes and climb trees for drinking coconuts while we pant and sweat our way up. By the time we reach the garden they’re barely out of breath and laugh at my red sweaty face and athsmatic gasping for breath. Then when we arrive at the top we find the boat is obscured by coconut trees....
