Waiting for the Weather

We leave the Deboyne islands and sail further south again, stopping at Brooker Island for a few days, where we do some final trading, then sail for Duchateau Islands, our departure point for Cairns. This is where we sit and wait for the right weather conditions for the passage back. During this time we meet up with Margaritaville again, enjoy the last days of snorkeling, diving and fishing, have a BBQ on the beach and enjoy a huge japanese, mexican & banana cake feast (an unusual combination I know, but damn tasty). But after 3 days the time is right. Hans and Paul have been taking daily weather faxes and listening to the weather reports on the radio, we have south easterly winds at 15-20 knots, perfect ocean crossing weather, we leave after breakfast.
