Taurus (Apr. 21 - May 20): -- Stock up on the best wines you can afford and prepare to celebrate your conquests. It's also a great time to join a tasting group (if you miss Boomer) or mail-order wine club (if you're a Miller groupie). Free your mind, baby, and the rest will follow.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21): -- Avoid lavish, high-priced purchases right now: your heart (and your credit card) aren't in it. Relax with cheap pinot noir, Rhone blends and dry whites. Complex times call for simple wines.

Cancer (June 22 - July 22): -- It's important to avoid over-indulgence: usually quiet Crabs are temporarily prone to gossip. Barricade yourself at home with a nice bottle of Riesling and unplug the phone. You are now in the expansion zone so time to stock up on your favorite white wines.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22): -- Lions may find themselves frustrated with their taste in wine and irritable because it's so hard for you to ask for someone else's opinion. Earth to Leos: you're annoying us. For once, hand over the reins. You'll be pleasantly surprised with what ends up in your glass.  However, the elegance of the crystal decanter is very important.


Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22): -- Spartan Viragoes may find themselves drawn to lush, decadent wines and extravagant restaurants. Though it may feel unusual, enjoy it (better yet, expense account it). Indulge in a petit syrah. Time for a vacation to your favorite winery. Go for Rhone to express your earthy nature.

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 23)
As you might've guessed from this sign's symbol -- the scales -- Librans strive for balance in all things. Their approach to wine is the same: Librans tend to favor wines that exhibit harmony and elegance, whether they're inexpensive whites or an expensive first growth Bordeaux. Try viognier, a wine that perfectly symbolizes the beauty, balance and elegance. The finer wines of Provence and the floral whites of Alsace are also great choices.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 23)
Scorpio is intense and sensual.  A rich burgundy or cab merlot blend will bring the senses to life.  Choose the perfect deep bitter chocolate to stimulate your senses even more.  Choose well and love well is your motto now in life, love and wine.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21): -- It's time to get away. A trip to Virginia wine country, complete with picnic basket and your beloved, is the ticket. It's going to be a particularly social period for you but also one that inspires long deep conversations under the moon with a fine Albarino, a mild goat cheese and some pepper crackers.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20): -- This isn't the time to splurge on wine, but it is a great time to take a class or read up on wines from out of the way places (and drool over what you can't afford but will soon be adding to that new wine cellar). Capricorns may also find themselves drawn to the wine trade. Dreaming of having a vineyard? Don't listen to everyone -- it's not a crazy idea. More like an insane one.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 - Feb. 18): -- That glare Aquarians feel is the spotlight, a place best accessorized with a glass of Champagne. Your tastes will lean toward wines that show pop with power: robust reds and French whites. Grab a bottle of the best Bordeaux money can buy. Carpe Vino!

Pisces (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20): -- Take that wine class, then call a Sagittarius friend and hit the town. Visit auctions, dig through musty wine shops in small towns or scour your grandparents' basements -- there's great wine to be had right under your nose. You might discover a new exciting talent as a wine taster.
