Myst Library

Channelwood Age with Frog
How It Started

Way back in 1993, a 15-year old girl swings up into her dad's chair and turns on his computer. She pops in her first ever computer game. The title is called Myst, and depicts an unusual island on the cover of the CD.

Let's just say ... I got hooked.
The beautiful ages of Myst were so unique. I immersed myself in the Myst ages, exploring and listening for hours. Even though the computer could barely keep up, I loved the game and played it several times over.

Now that years have passed, the newer, better version of Myst (realMyst) allows you to enjoy Myst in full 3-D. The realMYST game includes the complete original Myst game, along with a new fifth age, called the Rime Age, which provides a complete ending to the original mystery.

Selenitic ageAbout RealMyst
You hear wind chimes, breezes blowing, music, birds, rain and other sounds. Quiet earthy music draws you into Myst, deserting you on Myst Island. Solve the puzzles—journals, notes and shreds of information that you must put together in order to figure out what is going on and what has happened on the island of Myst. You arrive knowing nothing. Explore the journals and ages. Slowly more information is uncovered, and in the end, you must decide who is telling you "the truth".....and who is not. More on RealMyst/Riven/Exile page.
