[2.5a] App not starting anymore from within the IDE
Hi,
after installing the patch to 2.5a (yes, I've deleted the
\data folder, and there were no errors in the patch's log
apart from something with the email sample) I've ran into a
strange problem:
Importing a 2.5 app worked, it compiled well but failed to
run from within the IDE with the message "ALAS 32.DBG -
Ordinal number not found - The ordinal number 168 could not
be found in the Dynamic Link Library "CAVO2SYS.DLL". I
should add that this was a message in _German_ (I've
translated it). Confirming the msg will bring up the
"normal" dialog "result = nil".
A second imported app - the same problem.
Both apps are starting (but without the caption of the
StandardShellWindow), when running the executable file
(installing it somewhere on the same system).
A completely _new_ created app runs well in the IDE.
System: Win NT4, SP 5, 128 megs and so on...
Any hints are mostly welcomed!!!

You probably have a copy of an old version of CAVO2SYS.DLL
on your machine (and in the path). Are you using ReportPro?
Or did you copy CAVO2SYS.DLL to the application directory ?

As Robert indicated, you still have a version conflict in
the application directory. However, also check any PATH
commands that it might be finding a "wrong" version first.
Particularly if CAVO20 stuff is still around.
Reportpro is no problem. Any version with any version. Just
recompile and link everything in 2.5a

Hi,
yes, there were some dll's (cavo2gui.dll, cavo2sys.dll) with
the old version date and number in the \winnt folder. I
don't know why they were there (installing a complete app
doesn't save them there). I deleted them and now all is ok.

P.S.: Maybe there is a similar answer from me out there, it
