At malaysia, we have difficulty to connect to Internet, after manage to connect to Internet, we still have speed problem, so instead of searching at www.deja.com or www.knowvo.com, I prefer search at my local harddisk using standard Windows Find feature. I think somebody may have the same need, so I put my collection downloaded from news group at this web site.
My current collection I have converted to more than three thousand .doc files, and I need to manually convert to .txt, this will take sometime, and I will add whatever I had done to here.
Due to I have remove anything that is not needed by me, so this collection are no mean to be completeness or intact.
File name are the last modified date in the form of Month+Day+Hour+Minute+.txt
If I want to search for a .txt last modified by me in March, which contain a sentence "MSAccess 2000", I will do:
Start->Find->Files or Folders...
Name & Location
Named: 03*.txt
Look in: Wong\vo\ng
Advanced
Containing text: MSAccess 2000
Double click on the file found, I can started to view and remove some of the text in the file.
