The Tigers have signed former Auckland Warriors and Leeds Rhinos hooker Robert Mears to a 1 year incentive based contract.

Mears was a standout player for the Warriors before moving over to England last season to play with Leeds Rhinos.

Mears is the best signing the Tigers have landed for this season and if he hits top form early can take the hooking role over from Cherry Mescia.
