The Wests Tigers have officially terminated the last year of halfback Craig Fields contract believed to be worth around $300,000.
Field has had a horrendous year with him being banned from the game for 6 months for cocaine use as well as being fined a large amount of money by the club. Then he gets himself into trouble again in an incident at Balmains Leagues Club.
With Field now gone the Tigers look more than likely to use Lincoln Withers as his replacement, with Terry Lamb perhaps considering using Withers and Jeffries as the halves.
Perhaps with the money saved from Fields termination the Tigers may go into the player market for a more high profile player.
