Tigers sign a Lockyer

The Tigers have signed a Lockyer. Not Darren Lockyer, but his younger brother Matt.

Matt played in the QLD State Cup this season with Souths Magpies and plays five-eighth. He is a more solid build than his brother and is more of a ball player than a runner.

He was among the best players in the QLD competition and hopefully the Tigers will be able to develop him into a regular NRL 1st grader.

Also in other news the Tigers will be playing Parramatta in a charity shield match on the 26th January (Australia Day) in QLD.
