The Tigers have named a lineup missing Kevin McGuinness for the Country Carnival game against the Brisbane Broncos at Toowomba, 2nd March 2002.

The Broncos have named a very close to full strength team for the game.

Squads:

Broncos team: Darren Lockyer, Lote Tuqiri, Stuart Kelly, Michael De Vere, Craig Frawley, Shaun Berrigan, Allan Langer, Shane Webcke, Shane Walker, Andrew Gee, Gorden Tallis (c), Petero Civoniceva, Ashley Harrison. Subs: Brad Meyers, Brent Tate, Phillip Lee, Corey Parker, Steve Irwin.

Tigers team: Joel Caine, Hasan Saleh, Terry Hill, Nick Bradley-Qalilawa, Ahmad Bajauri, Ben Galea, Ben Jeffries, John Skandalis, Robbie Mears, Corey Pearson, Darren Senter, Mark O'Neill, John Wilson,. Res: Chris Paterson, Matt Seers, Steve Trindall, Troy Wozniak, Anthony Laffranchi.

Looking at the Tigers backline, it looks rather thin. However our forwards look rather strong with Mears, Senter, Pearson and co up against the all star broncos pack.

With the Broncos struggling in their last 2 trials with fielding half strengthed sides, they will definately improve with this squad. The Tigers will also be experimenting with new halves pairing Jeffries and Ben Galea. This will definately be interesting as Terry Lamb has indicated they may very well be the starting halves for the opening clash against the Bulldogs.

All in all, this will be a clash which the Tigers must use to finetune some of their weak areas before the season kicks off.

My Tip: Broncos to be too strong for Tigers. Broncos by 16
