The Tigers second trial for season 2002 ended in another loss as they succumbed to a understrengthed Storm outfit by 30 - 18.
The Storm were missing some of their top players, however their new signings stood up against a more experienced Tigers outfit.
The Storm skipped out to an early 8 - 0 lead before the Tigers struck back through a try to Joel Caine. The Tigers continued to battle and young Matt Lockyer played a solid game at five-eighth. He also scored try which put the Tigers within reach of the Storm at 18 - 14 down at one stage.
Then once the 3rd quarter started, the Storm ran in 2 converted tries within a few minutes and all of a sudden a blowout looked on the cards at 30 - 14. However a try to Joel Caine on the bell resulted in a 30 - 18 loss.
Caine did not kick very well on the night only landing 1/4 goals.
The Tigers will face the always tough Brisbane Broncos in their next match in the Country Carnival March 2nd.
