In a game which was played in very heavy fog which was similiar to the trial game between the Broncos and Roosters in season 2001, the Tigers came out knowing that they still have some work to do before they take on the Bulldogs in round 1.
The Tigers started badly as after 20mins into the game they found themselves down 18 - 0 so the scoreline could of ended up being anything. However the Tigers fought back to be 18 - 6 down at halftime.
An early try to the Broncos in the second stanza made the scoreline 24 - 6 as the Tigers backline was yet again exposed. Ben Galea played a solid game at five-eighth and made a try saving tackle.
With the scoreline at 30 - 12 with 15mins to go the Tigers started asserting pressure on the Broncos before scoring another try to finish the scoreline reading a 30 - 18 loss.
Terry Lamb must now select the most worthy lineup for their clash against the Bulldogs for the opening round of the Telstra Premiership.
