| Call For Justice When one Sabbat feels another has committed a wrong doing or otherwise broken the rules of the Sabbat, they may not simply declare the crime and punishment, even if the accuser is higher ranking than the accused. A tribunal is called by the accusing vampire. First, the accuser must inform the accused that they are having charges brought against them. Second, the accuser must assemble at least four titled members of the Sabbat in good standing. Preferably, at least one of the tribunal should have the title of Bishop or higher. The tribunal also must be of members of the Sabbat neutral towards the accused. If the accused disagrees with the chosen members of the tribunal, others will have to be gotten if the majority of Sabbat in good standing present agree. It is the accused's duty to wait for tribunal to form or at least appear for the tribunal at a given time and place. If the accused does not appear before the tribunal after they have been informed of the proper time and place, charges of cowardness may be brought against the accused by the Tribunal. The tribunal may also decide to go ahead and hear the case out and make a judgment without the accused to present their side of the story. Others may do so for the accused if they please. The tribunal also has the right to use any disciplines they possess to determine the wrongdoer in the case. The tribunal will decide who should get the punishment. Punishment is always given, either to the accused for committing the crime or to the accuser for wasting the time of the tribunal. In rare cases, the tribunal may decide that both sides have merit tot heir stories or that they both are deserving of punishment, then the punishment for the case will be divided up between the two as the tribunal sees fit. Most punishments which do not result in death are painful yet temporary. No use in permanently harming a member of the Sabbat whose usefulness will be needed later. How well the loser accepts their punishment will determine how willing other vampires will be to give the punished the blood they need to heal and recover. |
