The call for a "Caring Society" is not just a national one but also
a universal one. It forms the core of all religious beliefs and is
one of the first things we all learn during our upbringing.
The Sathya Sai Baba Central Council and the SAI BABA centres of Malaysia are multi-racial, multi-religious organizations dedicated to the cause of elevation of Human Values and providing service to the needy. Service activities to help the poor, sick, needy and handicapped are held on weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. The Council has also launched major Human Values programs to help in some small way to focus attention on the rapid decline in Human (and Moral) Values in Malaysia. The SOCIAL ACTION INITIATIVE (S.A.I.) represents another of our initiatives A massive programme launched by the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Central Council of Malaysia to provide some benefit, some degree of relief for Malaysians who will come under the category of the "hard-core poor".
They represent programme of permanent benefit to the needy, contributing to nation building, especially in the context of a caring society. The SOCIAL ACTION INITIATIVE II is being launched on 6 fronts; all addressed to the hard-core poor and needy. They include:-
