THE
15th WORLD CONGRESS OF THE WORLD FEDERATION OF THE DEAF RELEASES
AN ACCESSIBLE WEB
The 15th Word Congress of
the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), to be held from 16 to 22
July 2007, has already been set into motion. One of the first steps
taken by the organising committee is to develop a webpage that can
provide all participants of this important event with all necessary
information.
The Congress website is completely accessible for Deaf people. It
has versions in Spanish Sign Language, Spanish, English and it has
also been translated into International Sign, with the purpose of
providing full access to all its contents.
In the words of Mr. Feliciano Sola, Chairman of the Organising Committee:
"the purpose of this web is to provide useful information to
any Deaf person worldwide -it doesn't matter how far they may be
from our country - so that he/she can solve all doubts related to
the Congress", says Mr Sola. The Chairman also adds: "visitors
can have access to Congress conferences or have more details about
commissions. In addition, we have also wanted to inform about other
practical things such as, for example, what can be done in Madrid,
which is the leisure and cultural offer of the capital of Spain
or what remote corners in the country shouldn't be missed".
From now on, all the information regarding the 15th World Congress
of the World Federation of the Deaf can be found at:
