STATESVILLE - The Iredell County
Office of Emergency Management recently received 30 special weather-alert
radios for Iredell residents who are deaf and hard of hearing.
The devices were provided through
a grant obtained by the N.C. Division of Emergency Management and
the N.C. Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Eight Mooresville residents and
seven Statesville residents will receive the devices.
The remaining radios will be given
out as the office learns of others eligible for the devices.
