man jailed for having stolen car
KUALA LUMPUR :
With the help of a sign language interpreter, a deaf man was told
by the court that he was sentenced to six months in jail for possessinga
stolen vehicle.
Magistrate Norizan Che Meh ordered the sentence to run from the
date of hisarrest on June 23.
Factory worker, Murni Irawan Ibrahim, 33, pleaded guilty to possessing
a stolen Proton Wira worth RM36,000 with a false number plate at
the Carrefour supermarket parking lot in Jalan Peel, Cheras at about
11pm on June 23.
According to the statement of facts, the owner of the car had parked
it at the Carrefour parking lot in Wangsa Maju at about 4pm on May
4, 2002 , only to find it missing some two-and-a-half hours later.
Two years later, police questioned Murni and found that the vehicle
in his possession was reported missing.

man nets $1.50, bank card

FLINT
Flint, Michigan - Two armed suspects escaped with just $1.50, a
bank card and the wrong personal identification number for the card
after robbing a deaf man early Friday.
The victim said he opened the door about 3 a.m. at a residence on
W. Court Street, near Vosburg Street , for a young man wearing a
mask, police reports said. The suspect and another man came inside
while pointing guns at thevictim.
They took $1.50 from the table and an ATM card and told the man
to write down his PIN number.
The victim said he wrote down the wrong number, and the suspects
ran from the scene.
