Dustin's stay in Holland
These were taking during Dustin's first time in Holland, when he came to live with me. Of course we had to go and do the tourist-thing ;)
Please excuse the quality of some of the pictures.
And hey, if what I write with the pictures isn't correct, give me a break already! I'm not a historian. At least I tried.
Here's Dustin lazing while we wait for the canal boat to arrive.
This is some church we encountered during the canal tour, can't remember exactly what was so special about it, but I do recall making it to show Trina, Dustin's mom. So here you go Trina :)
This I believe would be the "Shreiers Toren". It is a tower built a long time ago when the Dutch still were very much into going to see and all that, you know.... way back in the day. This would be the place the wives would go and cry for their husbands when they would leave on yet another journey. In Old Dutch, that was called "schreien", hence the name of the tower.
This again was taken during the canal tour and it shows ... surprise surprise, a canal. But along the canal there is an old theatre called Carre, which in Holland is well known and almost a Mecca of sorts for many Dutch artists.
This is the floating Chinese restaurant, it's renowned for its good food, unfortunately I will most likely never see the inside of it as it is also quite well known for its high prices.
