Thru the valley of Baca I'll pass,
Digging new wells in your word.
Waters then will gush forth and pools there amass
And in Autumn skies, thunder be heard.
I'll journey from strength to strength,
Though arid the paths in between.
I'll enter your presence in Zion at length;
Till then, on your comfort I lean.
Deception is strong in this land,
And darkness the light does assail.
On the truth I am founded and in truth I stand;
Your word, my light, never fails.
To the traveler, your promise is sure;
Trust in you makes straight the path.
You fill me with power and strength to endure
Every dart of the enemy's wrath.
Thru the valley of Baca I'll pass,
To the place you've prepared for me;
My enemies defeated behind me at last,
The salvation of God I will see.
