Statement of Faith

I heed Jesus' warnings to "be careful how and what you hear" (Lk. 8:18, Mk. 4:24), and I "test the spirits to know whether they are from God" (1 Jn. 4:1). I think every disciple of Christ should do the same.

Here is my answer to the question,

"Who do you say Jesus is?"

I believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I believe that he was born of a virgin, lived on this earth as a man, died and was resurrected on the third day according to the Scriptures. I believe that Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us, so we might become the righteousness of God in him--he is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. I believe that he ascended to the right hand of the Father of Glory, where he is seated today, having been given the Name that is above every name. I believe and declare that JESUS IS LORD, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
