Proudly She Hails
Fire burns atop iced sapphires,
and I ask myself-
"How did I ever look upon you
with such indifference?"
The Truth is inside me,
where you left it to sizzle
and simmer with each
shimmering pout of your lips.
Talent seeps from your fingertips
like ruby red wine
and pours over me,
bathing me in your cherry luminescence.
I'm speechless at the desire
that courses through me after
one gasp pushed past your parted
lips by a spearing tongue.
Though it is not only your
icy hot cinnamon facade
that melts my resistance.
Oh, Red Glory,
you speak of freedom and
equality and justice for
all the while showing
America's Woman how to
wave her banner high
and fly like an eagle
through a man's world.
Your originality sings
to the very core of me,
and enables my passion
to seek new creations
and for all that. . .
I thank you.

Butterfly
I know under the pretty exterior
is a pair of perfect wings.
You can fly into a heart
and flutter all throughout,
create wondrous feelings of love
and turn a life around.
You know you are a butterfly
fresh out of the cocoon.
Symmetrical and brightly colored
admired by one and all,
So elegant and graceful,
you'll never, ever fall.

The Masterpiece
If I could create my own masterpiece
How I wish I could paint you,
For your eyes are the shiniest
stars I've ever seen
With lips as soft as petals blossoming.
Although I know your every gestures,
Every moves and the pitch of your
voice;
The truth is you've never even
saw me
Not even once 'cause it's my choice,
'Cause you're well known by everyone
While I just came from a mere
clan.
And I know that to capture your
soul with every stroke,
To feel your closeness with every
lines;
Are the only ways for me to be
a part of you.
But it's impossible,
So I'll just draw you in my mind
and in my heart
For I'm not a painter,
And sadly...I could not paint
you.
