NAMI Virginia
NAMI VA provides support and technical assistance to local affiliates. The organization operates a help line that helps individuals in crisis get information and services they need. NAMI VA promotes family and consumer education by training folks interested in leading local educational programs and support groups. Annual conventions offer expert speakers. NAMI VA is active in guiding and promoting legislation that will improve sevices for those with mental illnesses. Members are kept informed of gaps in services and issues before the state legislature, which call for individual advocacy.

Western Tidewater Mental Health Center
Provides treatment and case managment for persons with severe and persistent mental illness. Also provides day programs offering psychosocial rehabilitation in Suffolk and Franklin, and a partial hospitalization program in Suffolk.
