The Milliken House, located at 14 Killegray Ridge, is the left half of this 3-story duplex on Bald Head Island, North Carolina.   It has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and sleeps up to 10 people.   It comes with 2 golf carts (a 6-seater and a 4-seater) and a temporary membership at the Bald Head Island Club and the newly opened Shoal's Club.

The 1st floor of The Milliken House boasts an open floor plan with living, dining and kitchen areas, a fireplace, laundry closet with full-sized washer and dryer, and a half bath.   First floor amenities include a color TV, VCR, stereo w/CD player, and cordless telephone.

The dining and kitchen area on first floor of The Milliken House.   The dining table seats 6, and up to 4 additional people can sit at the breakfast bar.

Have an incredibly well-behaved dog that you cannot stand to leave behind?  Talk to us about it.  We have made exceptions in the past to our "no pets" policy, provided you are willing to provide a pet deposit and take certain other steps to insure that our home is not damaged during your stay.

The spacious and well-outfitted cook's kitchen sports corian countertops, pickled maple glass-front cabinets, and a terra cotta tile floor.   Amenities include a microwave, dishwasher, trash compacter, deep double sinks, and a multitude of small kitchen appliances and gadgets.

Side view of our charming wrap-around front porch with hammock, porch swing and rockers for relaxing.   A rear patio includes an enclosed (private) outdoor private, hot/cold water shower, propane gas grill, and outdoor dining for six persons.

The 2nd floor master bedroom (with a king-sized bed) faces the ocean and has a private deck, as well as a color TV/DVD  with cable and a telephone with answering machine. There is a work area with desk in the alcove, for those who need to get something done at work while they're vacationing!  The master bath features double sinks and a soaking tub with shower.

The 2nd floor guest bedroom (also with a king sized bed) includes a full-sized crib tucked away in a corner alcove, and an armchair, cordless telephone and large closet.  A full bath, with tub and shower, is located adjacent to this bedroom and is accessible from the 2nd floor hallway

Rental Rates and Seasons*

Spring/Fall 2009             $1850 a week or $300 a night (3/1-5/23/09;                         (3 night minimum)    9/7-10/31/09)

Value Summer 2009        $2600 a week or $400 a night (5/23-6/13/09;                              (3 night minimum) 8/15-9/6/09)

High Season 2009         $3200 a week  (no nightly rentals) (6/14-8/14/09)

Winter 2009-2010         $1000 a week or $250 a night   (11/1/07-2/29/08)                  (3 night minimum)

* FINE PRINT: Only available by the week (Saturday to Saturday) during the High Season.  3-night minimum in all other seasons.  $250 refundable damage deposit required with all rentals. One-half of rent due with signed contract, other half due 30 days prior to arrival date.  No smoking allowed.  Pets allowed only with permission of owner and pursuant to the written Pet Policy provided by owner to renter.  8-person maximum occupancy. Bed linens and bath towels are provided.  Rates include maid service before arrival and after departure.  Rates do not include applicable state and local sales taxes, ferry passage to and from the island, or mainland parking.

The 3rd floor dormer  bedroom includes 2 built-in twin daybeds, built-in bunk beds, and a dormer alcove with a futon couch convertible into a double bed.   Amenities include a color TV, VCR, DVD, stereo w/CD player, and a telephone.  This room is ideal for the kids and is well-stocked with toys and children's books and videos.
