This was sent to me by a friend and
       I wanted to share it!
There was a man named George Thomas, a pastor in a small New England town.
One Easter Sunday morning he came to church carrying a rusty, bent, old  birdcage, and set it by the pulpit. Several eyebrows were raised, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak. I was walking thru town yesterday when I saw  a young boy  coming toward me, swing this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and  asked, "What you got there son?" "Just   some old birds," came the reply. "What are you going to do with them?" I asked. "Take 'em home and have some fun with 'em. I'm gonna  tease 'em and   pull out their feathers to make "em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time."  "But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do then?" "Oh, I got some cats. They like birds, I'll take 'em to them." The Pastor was silent for a moment. "How much do you want for those birds, son?" "Huh??!!! Why, you don't want those birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing---they ain't even pretty.!" "How much?" The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, $10." The pastor reached  in his pocket and took out a $10 bill. He placed it in the boys hand. In a flash, the boy was gone. The pastor picked up the cage abd gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot. Setting the cage down, he opened the door and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free. Well that explained the empty cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began telling this story.

One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from The Garden Of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting. Yes sir , I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all!!! "
What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked. "Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other. How to hate and abuse each other. How to drink, smoke and curse. How to invent bombs and guns and kill each other. I'm gonna have fun!! "What are you going to do when you are done with them?" Jesus asked.  "Oh I'll kill 'em." "How much do you want for them?" Oh, you don't want these people. "They ain't no good." Why, you'll take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you!! You don't want these people.!! "How much?" Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your tears, and all your blood." Jesus paid the price!!!. The pastor picked up the cage, he opened the door and he walked from the pulpit.

TO REMEMBER ME
   WHEN I'M GONE
Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face
or love in the eyes of a woman.

Give my heart to a person whose own
heart has caused nothing but endless  pain.

Give my blood to the teanager who was pulled from a wreakage of his car, so that he might live to see his grandchildren play.

Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week.

Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk.

If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses and all prejudice against my fellow man.

Give my sins to the devil.

Give my soul to God

If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word
to someone who needs you.

If you do all these things, I will live forever.

You're like an Angel to me
          because of all the many
           loving things you do.

           You don't even see
       how very special you are
Yet, you have a heart of gold.

        You care about others
          more than yourself
and you show that every day
                in every way.

         You are a loving Angel
         surely sent from above
And I will forever thank God
for bringing you into my life!

                 Thank you Ann!
If I have brought a gleam of light
To cheer a darkened day
If I held out a friendly hand
To help along the way
Then in these acts of kindness done
It is not me you see
But glimpses of that Loving one
Who I chose to dwell in me..
Live in such a way, That those who know you, But don't know God, Will come to know God, Because they know you.
I'd fingerpaint more, And point the finger less.

I'd take my eyes off my watch, And watch with my eyes

I would care to know less, And know to care more

I'd take more hikes, And fly more kites

I'd stop playing serious, And seriously play

I'd run through the fields, And gaze at more stars

I'd do more hugging, And less tugging

I would be firm, But affirm much more

I'd build self-esteem first, And the house later

I'd teach less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love

If I could do it over!!
