Chikyuu
"Look, Pan! Look, Bra! Look, Goten! LOOK!" Prince Trunks was practically shouting, but there was good cause of his excitement. Bra, Pan, and Goten’s mouths dropped open and their eyes widened in pleasure at the wonderful sight before them.
In front of them lay a large valley, dotted with small cozy cottages, and neatly planted fields. There were little patches of trees with leaves of autumn gold. At the far end of the valley lay a gigantic castle that was most beautiful. The glass windows glistened like jewels in the sun. The flags of both Chikyuu and Vegeta waved in wind.
Pan and Goten looked at each other and smiled. They were both thinking the same thought. This is our Kingdom of Dreams, they thought, our beautiful Kingdom of Dreams where there shall always be peace.
Pan was mesmerized by the beauty of the palace and the kingdom. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked up to see Trunks smiling down at her. He looks so handsome when he smiles, she thought, and his eyes…
Pan felt herself being drawn closer to Trunks by some unknown attraction and soon their lips were inches apart; but then Pan heard a giggle that snapped her out of the trance. She looked to see Bra and Goten staring straight at them. Pan’s cheeks flushed pink and she stepped away from Trunks.
The four of them walked through the lovely little village towards the beautiful castle that would soon be their home.

Once inside the castle the four were taken to separate rooms to be bathed in rose scented waters and clothed in fine clothes and jewelry fit for princes and princesses.
Pan was given a nice warm bath by the maids then they washed her long beautiful dark brown hair out. When her bath was over she was led to a grand bedroom, even finer than her own bedroom back at the Son Castle. A beautiful lilac-coloured dress was laid out on the bed for her to wear. She changed into the dress, and the maids fixed her hair and put on her jewelry.
Pan admired her reflection in the mirror, but then she heard a knock at the door. She moved to go and open it, but a maid was already there. When the door opened the maid curtseyed nervously and backed away from the door. Pan peered into the hallway as a figure stepped into her room.
Pan recognized the man as Prince Trunks, but she had never seen him like this before. His lavender hair was neatly parted down the middle and combed down to the sides. He wore a black tuxedo and he looked very, very handsome.
He sat down on Pan’s bed and looked at her smiling.
"You look stunning, Princess Pan of Chikyuu," he said, and indeed he had never seen her like this. She was wearing a beautiful dress and her dark hair was up (like Chi-Chi’s). She wore jewels at her throat and stud earrings. Every time Trunks and Pan had met before they had been wearing disguises and peasant clothing.
"Thank you," said Pan, doing a curtsey, "You look quite handsome yourself, Prince Trunks of Vegeta." They smiled at each other then looked away blushing slightly.
"So, how do feel about the arrangements?" asked Trunks.
"Arrangements?" asked Pan confused.
"Has not Bra told you?" asked Trunks, "I was certain she had."
"No," said Pan, "She has not. Pray tell me what you mean?"
Prince Trunks gulped and said slowly, "I did not want to be the one to tell you this…"
"Tell me what?" asked Pan.
"Why you were kidnapped from your home," said Trunks.
"Well, tell me then!" said Pan impatiently.
"Uh,Brawantstoendthefeudandtheonlywaythatcanhappenisthatyou havetomarryme!" said Trunks very quickly.
"Excuse me?" said Pan, hoping she hadn’t heard right.
"You and me have to get married in order to end the feud," said Trunks more slowly. Pan started to laugh.
"Yeah, right! That’s a real funny joke," said Pan, "If anyone should marry to end the feud it should be Bra and Goten!"
"No," said Trunks sadly, "It won’t work. Me and you are the heirs to the thrones of Chikyuu and Vegeta, so that’s how it’s gotta be. We have to marry to end the feud."
Pan walked to the window of her room and looked out. If she married Trunks she would be sacrificing herself for the peace of two countries. Then the children and grandchildren of all those who lived now would have a peaceful and beautiful world to grow up and live in. All would be well. She would be a hero.
Pan turned to Trunks and smiled weakly, "Then I shall marry you Prince Trunks. For the sake of future generations and their peace, I shall marry you."
Trunks smiled and walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek, "Princess Pan, I admire you. You shall be honoured in the hearts of your people for this decision. Because of you, two countries will be at peace." And with that Trunks walked out of the room.
As soon as the doors closed, Pan sunk into a chair and put her head in her hands. She sighed deeply, wondering if she would find happiness in this marriage. Whatever happened to her, at least her people would be happy and at peace. That was the important thing right?
Pan sighed again, "At least he’s handsome."
No, It’s far from over! What about Bra and Goten and Marron and Uub? And what about the parents, what will they think of this arrangement? Will Pan be happily married with Trunks? Find out in the next chapter of A Kingdom of Dreams!
