A Kingdom of Dreams ch.3
I’ve been having some problems with Fanfiction.Net and their server stuff. I submitted chapter 1 and 2 this morning and here is chapter 3 that I just finished. A little more romance than the last two chapters in this one. I’ll try to put some more Middle Age talk too. Please don’t flame me for making Trunks mean. Once again, I promise you that Trunks will become nice soon. I used lots of the dialogue from my book for this fic. (Sorry if I’m cruel to Marron) Please Review!

"Oh, Marron," said Princess Pan, "Please don’t let me down! You must be brave and do everything I told you to!"
"I will try, milady," said Marron swallowing in fear. She got up and walked to the opening of the tent and peeked out. Then she hastily returned.
"Princess! The handsome guard with the black spiky hair isn’t there!" she complained, "There is another guard there though, should I ask him to fetch the spiky-haired one?"
"By all means!" said Pan grinning. She knew that Marron had a thing for the guard with spiky black hair. Marron went back out. Pan edged closer to the door to eavesdrop. When Marron had gotten the guard she liked to come she asked him sweetly:
"Mister, the princess and I are very bored. Perhaps you have a needle for us to sew with?" The guard obviously also had a thing for Marron.
"No, but I will present your request to Prince Trunks, and maybe he will have some sewing for you to do," said the guard nicely.
"Oh, thank you!" said Marron smiling, "You are very kind!"
"Anything for you, milady," he said bowing, "and please call me Uub."
"And you may call me Marron, " she said flirtatiously, then she returned into the tent. She smiled at Pan broadly.
"I did it!" she said triumphantly.
Pan sighed in relief, "Finally, Marron, you are of some use."
"Hey!" said Marron offended, "That’s not very nice, Princess!"
"Relax, I’m only kidding!" said Pan. She was so relieved that her escape plan was going perfectly. She sat back and awaited the Prince.

Not too long afterward Prince Trunks walked in and Uub was with him. Uub smiled at Marron, and she returned the smile.
"What’s this about sewing?" asked Prince Trunks.
"Marron and I are bored," said Pan, "We were wondering if we may be given thread and needles?"
"We have none," said the Prince frowning.
"Well, perhaps some embroidery hoops?"
"We have none," he repeated. Trunks was mentally slapping himself for keeping the girls heavily guarded, he now realized that Princess Pan may be brave, but she was still an innocent female. Little did he know at that moment she was plotting her escape.
"Well, maybe small quilting frames?" she asked innocently.
"No!" he said turning to leave.
"Well, there must be something we could use needle and thread on," said Pan swiftly, "We’ll go quite mad with nothing to do, day after day. It doesn’t matter what we sew. Surely you have something that needs sewing…"
Trunks turned around and smiled, "You’re offering to do mending for us?"
Marron gasped. Pan’s plan was working, but Marron did not know it yet. Marron was shocked that her suggestion of sewing would turn into practically joining forces with the enemy. Mending clothes for Vegetans? That would be helping the enemy! She was about to object when Pan said:
"Well, we hadn’t thought of mending exactly…" she said trying to look as shocked as Marron.
"Nonsense!" said Trunks smiling, "We have plenty of mending for you to do. You shall earn your board and bed by doing our mending. Uub, see to it that the ladies are kept busy." And with that he left. Uub smiled at Marron before leaving. Pan smiled at Marron.
"Everything is going perfectly," she said happily.
"But aren’t we helping the enemy?" asked Marron still skeptical.
"It’s all part of my plan," said Pan, "Just you wait Marron, and I’ll tell you the rest of it."
Then Uub walked in the door and he dumped a load of blankets and clothes on the floor. He placed two spools of thread and two needles and shears near to Pan and Marron.
"Here you go, Princess and Marron," he said, "Prince Trunks needs these mended for himself and his men."
"Thank you, Uub," said Marron, "Now could you please unbind our hands?"
Uub did that, then he left. Pan smiled.
"Marron we are now going to start to plan our escape."
"How?" asked Marron.
"We mend some clothes," said Pan, "and then we keep them as a disguise."
"Disguise?" asked Marron baffled.
"Men’s clothing!" explained Pan giggling, "and he offered it to us!"
"What do we do with the other ones?" asked Marron.
Pan picked up the shears and grinned, "We shred the blankets and sew the arms closed on the shirts!"
"Oh, Princess!" said Marron sadly, "Won’t the men be cold without the blankets?"
"I don’t care," said Pan, "King Vegeta didn’t think twice about killing Grampa Goku."
Marron nodded and they set to work. Normally Pan hated to sew and would rather train with her uncle Goten, but now she had to. Damn needle, she thought as she pricked her finger numerous times.

When Pan and Marron were shredding the blankets Prince Trunks walked in unexpectedly.
"Let me see what you have done," he commanded. Marron paled and looked like a frightened child. Pan however smiled and picked up a shirt from the pile of clothes she was going to wear. She held it up for inspection.
Trunks studied it. "Wow, your stitches are neat and evenly spaced!" he exclaimed then he turned to leave, but before he was gone he turned back. "You have no idea how much this is appreciated," he said, "Now my men won’t be cold."
Pan felt a pang of guilt, but she shook it off. She wouldn’t allow herself to feel pity for the enemy. She went back to her work. Marron started to cry. Pan couldn’t help thinking of all the things that might go wrong.

The next day Pan and Marron hid their disguises within their dresses and walked out of the tent. They walked up to Uub and Pan said, "Excuse me, but Marron and I would like to bathe in the lake." She gestured to the lake that was just beyond a small forest. At the mention of Marron, Uub softened up and said, "Okay, you’ve got 20 minutes, but be sure that I can see both of your heads at all times. They ran off towards the lake.
Now they quickly undressed and got into their men’s clothes. All the while Pan explained her plan to Marron.
"Now Marron, as soon as we’re done we head west just beyond that hill, okay?" Marron nodded. Pan continued, "That’s where the stables are, and after we’ve gotten our horses we head west, okay? If we become separated one of us will head on to Chikyuu and inform our fathers of where the other is, okay? Now Marron, take off your bonnet and attach it to the bush like so," said Pan taking off her own bonnet and attaching it to the bush so that Uub thought he could still see their heads. "Marron bury your clothes in the sand under the bush," she said while doing so herself. Then she crawled a little downstream and attached a handkerchief to a bush to lead the men off course. Then she crawled back upstream and her and Marron made their escape.
"That handkerchief ought to mislead them and buy us some time," said Pan wickedly. When they had reached the stables Pan found to her good fortune that the guard was asleep. She quickly stole two horses then her and Marron fled. I only regret not taking Princess Bra with me, thought Pan sadly knowing that she might never see her good friend again.

Back at camp 20 minutes had past and Uub was wondering what was taking the girls so long. He could still see their heads, so he wasn’t worried, but he couldn’t let them stay for any longer. He called out to them and received no answer. Then he got worried and walked over. He sweatdropped when he saw only the girl’s bonnets.
"I’m so dumb!" he yelled realizing that he had been fooled. He ran into Trunks’ tent.
"Prince Trunks!" he gasped, "The girls have escaped!"
Sorry for the little cliff-hanger, but chapter 4 will be out in no time. If you’ve got ideas please review!
