Daniel Santos Betancourt was borned in Santurce, San Juan de Puerto Rico the 6 of June of 1916, and died November 27, 1992 in Florida. Famous for his love for music, women and booze, was one of Latin America's best singers of the 20th. century. Was married 12 times, recorded over 700 songs in 300 LP recorded in USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile. Know as "El Inquieto Anacobero" and also as "El Jefe" ("The Boss", before B. Springsteen was even borned). Was loved a lot in Guayaquil (he lived twice here), and got thrown in Jail a couple of times here also, where he wrote 2 songs (Cautiverio and Cataplum.. pa 'dentro anacobero) that describe what happened. Was compadre with Julio Jaramillo (Guayaquil's favorite son) and they even recorded a LP inside a bar.
